5. FENDING OFF TRADE BARRIERS

Finally, we have first-hand command knowledge of the WTO’s GATT laws and the latest procurement policies, and know how to deal with Foreign ‘closed door’ procurement policies in certain countries.

We maintain good contacts to address discriminatory duties as well as other restrictive barriers on exports (two of our principal consultants worked seven and a half years in Geneva, Switzerland where the GATT and now the WTO is located).

So, should you have a product that is a trade secret or is patented that is running up against a ‘brick wall’ in terms of export to a certain country, we may well be able to help. These are the kind of issues we delight in addressing in our ‘hand-holding’ counseling role with innovators.
